A concert of music from the North! The great Finnish composer Sibelius’ Valse Triste is joined with works by Swedes Järnefelt and Larsson and the acclaimed present day Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. And what concert of music by Northern composers would be complete without a Russian… we have two of Tchaikovsky’s lovely, lyrical and virtuosic showpieces for violin and orchestra played by the ACO’s own Concertmaster Leonid Sigal!
